Beauties Pillars of Purpose & Foundational Scriptures

Pillar 1

Girls need Godly truth spoken into their heart and mind as they develop a positive and complete personal identity.

Foundational Scripture

Psalm 139:13-16 – God created us and knows who we are.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place; When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body; All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

2 Timothy 3:16 – God’s Word is our guide.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”

Pillar 2

Girls need to know who God is and how to have a personal relationship with him.

Foundational Scripture

I John 4:7-12 & I John 3:16-24, John 14:6 – God is love. Believe in his Son Jesus Christ.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us; He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

“This is how we know what love is; Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him. And this is the command; to believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us; We know it by the Spirit he gave us.”

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Pillar 3

Girls need a community of “sisters” who value the same identity- building qualities and beliefs.

Foundational Scripture

Hebrews 10:23-25 Encourage one another as you meet together regularly.

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Pillar 4

Girls need tools and skills to navigate this world successfully: With virtue, confidence and strength of character.

Foundational Scripture

Colossians 3:1-2; 12-14; 16-17 Tools for the heart, mind, body, and spirit.

“Since then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
